Delayed!

Our flight today was scheduled to leave at 8:55 am. This meant we were up around 4 am to get ready and get to the airport on time. Well, I haven't yet figured out how to control the weather,  so it was a bit of a crappy drive, but our chauffeur Jess got us there in comfort and on time. After checking our bags and passing through security, we found some seats near the washrooms and the Cafe, and settled in to wait for our flight.  The lounge we were in gave us a great view of the airfield area and we watched as the snow plows made repeated passes up and down the runways.  It was definitely snowing and blowing, but the schedule continued to show our flight as on time.  The control tower was also directly in our line of sight and it was continually going in and out of view due to blowing snow.
After sitting for an hour or so, I got a text on my phone saying our flight was delayed til 1:45 pm! Crap, crappity, crap, it's going to be a long day!
It was only a few seconds before my mind reactively started to think of other things, more pleasant things. In no particular order, here they are...I am here with my favourite person in the whole world, I'm warm and dry, I've got wifi, I've got music on my phone and a book to read, washrooms and snacks are handy, and to top it off, I'm at Kitchener airport, whose departure lounge has about 150 seats, 125 of which were empty while we relaxed!  Oh, and one last thing, I had the opportunity to compose this post so as to torture any of you who dare read it.
I put almost no effort into this process, it happens automatically.  If you want to know how I manage this, the answer is amazingly simple.  Practise.  I have lots of useless, counterproductive thoughts and feelings just like the next person, but I continue to practise replacing them with positive empowering messages and there is no doubt it improves almost every aspect of my life.
Technical update, we are now delayed until 3:45 due to mechanical problems on previous flight. Nothing to do with weather at all.
I didn't have to look up today's quote as I have it posted to the wall above my desk and I repeat it often.
